Knox’s room is about 80% refurbished furniture from other parts of our house/flea market finds. His floor bed was made using the base of his crib (a basic IKEA model) and attaching side boards to hold in the mattress and make a little barrier to keep him from rolling off. The wood was then finished with a mixture of beeswax and mineral oil. He loves being able to crawl up onto it for a cuddle with mom or dad and a story, and then he can climb right back off to go pick another book!
