Age: 3 months
When Clara was a newborn, we tried crib-sleeping and co-sleeping, both without any real success. Somewhere in my sleep deprivation, I began to imagine that Clara had her very own bed, one that I could sneak away from after I nursed her sleep. This bed would make it easy to cuddle, possible for Clara to enter and exit on her own, and eliminate the precarious sleeping-baby-to-crib transfer.
Clara has been sleeping on her bed (it’s a regular twin-size mattress, which we surround with thick quilts when she sleeps) since she was 3 months old. So far, it has been a great solution for our family.
